Today there were no schedules to keep and no doctors to go see, so my daughter and I sat in two
lounge chairs and watched Xfinity On Demand's showing of the mini-series "North and South" all day long. It's showing on the Encore channel, and it had been years since I'd seen it. It's really the series that made Patrick Swayze famous. We managed to watch 3 1/2 episodes (we had watched 2 1/2 last night). I'd forgotten how good it really was. I think it originally showed in 1985, and I saw it back then, but it's still just as good. If you get the chance, you ought to watch it. On the Encore channel there's no commercials, which makes it really nice. I still find myself reaching for the remote to fast foreward through the commercials that aren't there. LOL!

Isn't it comforting when you can do absolutely nothing once in awhile! My sister lives in Florida...she said the weather has been comfortably warm. Enjoy it while you can!!
Hi, Cindy
Yes it sure is comforting. I've done a lot of sitting around and watching TV for these past 2 weeks. I fear the wind is changing and it's time for me to blow out of here. I'll be going home 2/10.
